Theremin Scoring Project: History of Electronic Music (2/17/25)
The assignment was to create a 1950s-style sci-fi soundtrack for the video provided using a theremin. I played the theremin and recorded it into Abelton Live, using some effects and a synth backing track. I took inspiration from The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) and Dune (2021) This piece was mixed in under and arranged in under an hour.
Video Game Trailer Scoring: Music and Sound for Games (10/31/25)
The video provided for this assignment was silent. I created the music in Ableton Live and arranged/edited the sound effects in under an hour. I sourced the sound effects from a folder of foley sounds provided by my professor and royalty-free sound effects from the internet.
Nyctophobia: Student Film Scoring (12/7/25)
I worked with two other music technology students to score the short film Nyctophobia. This film was made by media students for an assignment, but this was not an assignment for the other music technology students and I.

We were given the rough draft of the film a week before it was due, so my teammates and I each made an individual soundtrack for the film, and sent some of our ideas to each other for inspiration. The students making the film ended up editing together our ideas for the final cut. If we had more time, I would have preferred to compose more collaboratively and help with the editing process.
Video 1 is my full demo score for the rough cut of the film. Video 2 is the final cut with the whole team’s music integrated into it. One of the filmmakers mentioned wanting a leitmotif similar to the main Halloween theme, so I tried taking inspiration from that.

Composition
This was for an assignment that aimed to compose a piece inspired by early 20th century post-tonal music. The composers I drew from were mainly Claude Debussy and Charles Ives.
